School Magazine contents page

For my contents page i will use an image from the recycle fashion show and have the articles and news based around the image. I looked at other magazines to compare how they organise their contents and the placements of the text and imagery. As both of the school magazines i analysed for this project " King Edward VI and FFH" don't have contents pages i decided to look at a college magazine instead.
As you can see the contents information is placed in the middle so that it becomes the main focus of the page and the reader gives it immediate attention. It is made clear that this page is a contents page by the large font title in front of the black background block. This then follows a subtitle which divides the contents of the magazine into sections about particular topics, this makes it easier to locate specific information quickly instead of reading through each and every topic within a list. They have used large font sized for the numbers of the pages so that it is clear for readers to see and so they don't mistake turning to the wrong page. They have also used images to describe a topic rather than using text, this gives the contents variety and breaks up the amount of text. It also gives the contents page some variety for the reader who will find everything more  interesting and will want to read the magazine. Some of the images are larger than others, this shows particular importance about a topic. The two colourful images either side of the contents page is irrelevant to the whole topic of the magazine but are used for effect and to make the content page look more attractive.  Also the background used is plain white , which allows all of the information on the page to stand out and clearer to read and see.
